The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) was at the forefront of designing the improvements for the Davie Road Beautification Project. This project once again points out the need to work with various agencies. In this case, the Town of Davie, Broward County and FDOT paid for these improvements which included relocating above-ground utility lines, adding decorative street lights, street trees and brick pavers sidewalks. Counting the States portion, the total cost was approximately $2 million.
In the near future, you will see a crew installing brick pavers at all of the intersections. This is required to meet updated ADA requirements. The new pavers will have domes on top and the bricks must be a contrasting color.
