Draft Ballot: Town of Davie Charter Amendment Ballot Questions

Pursuant to Executive Order Numbers. 20-69, 20-112, 20-179, and 20-193 issued by the Office of Governor Ron DeSantis, municipalities may conduct meetings of their governing boards without having a quorum of its members present physically or at any specific location, and utilizing communications media technology such as telephonic or video conferencing, as provided by Section 120.54(5)(b)2, Florida Statutes.

Pursuant to Executive Order number 20-179 taxing authorities may hold millage and budget hearings under Chapter 200, Florida Statutes, or a local governing board holding a hearing or meeting regarding a non-ad valorem assessment, including but not limited to, those under section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, without having a quorum of its members present physically or at any specific location, and utilizing communications media technology such as telephonic or video conferencing, as provided by Section 120.54(5)(b)2, Florida Statutes.

We conduct elections that facilitate the maximum participation of all eligible voters in the Town of Davie. The Office of the Town Clerk influences the direction of the future by setting the quality of government in the present while preserving the past.
