High Performance CPR Training

Davie Fire Rescue is the proud host/managers of the Florida Resuscitation Academy, an organization that provides training in implementing High-Performance CPR. The system of care needed to save a life from an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is complex and needs intense Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). Every treatment performed for a cardiac arrest patient is reviewed including each chest compression, ventilation, defibrillation, and medication administrations to assure compliance with direction from our medical director, Dr. Peter Antevy. This strict CQI program has garnished state-wide attention, resulting in the Florida Department of Health sponsoring the Resuscitation Academy to provide training to multiple fire and EMS departments across the state.
