On March 8, 2021, Assistant Chief Jim Polan was sworn into office. Chief Polan comes to Davie as a seasoned law enforcement professional with over 39 years of experience including command positions at Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Broward Sherrif's Office, and Seminole Police Department.
He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Senior Management Institute for Police at Boston University, Executive Leadership Program at Nova Southeastern University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Studies from Barry University.
Assistant Chief Polan is uniquely qualified in all aspects of law enforcement and is a valuable asset to the Town of Davie Police Department.
