Lock your doors and windows, most burglars enter through unlocked entries.
Don’t leave packages or gifts near windows or where they can be easily seen.
Turn on all outside lights to deter burglars.
Keep garage doors closed unless you are in the immediate area.
Don’t announce that you will be away from home on social network sites or answering machines.
Don’t leave garage door openers in your vehicle while parked outside.
If you have an alarm system, use it.
Avoid having large displays of gifts visible from windows and doors.
If you travel and are away from home, set an automatic timer for your lights and ask a trustworthy neighbor(s) to keep an eye on your home.
