ABOUT THE CASE: Stroombeck was discovered unconscious on the side of the road near the 2800 blk of Davie Rd. He was transported to Broward General Hospital by Davie Fire Rescue. A few days later, he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner’s office determined his cause of death as massive internal bleeding due to a blunt force impact.
The victim was found deceased in a field of the 3800 Block of NW 74th Avenue with blunt force trauma. The victim was wearing a white polo shirt, white gym shorts, and blue boxer-style underwear. The victim’s vehicle – a 2007 silver Honda Civic was abandoned and later found approximately 100 yards from the body.
The victim was last seen by neighbors out the trash when shots were fired in his direction. The victim stated that a dark vehicle drove up to the residence and fled as the shots were fired. He was shot in the right lower abdomen.
