Special Events
The Town of Davie Special Events Division offers year round and seasonal cultural activities, special events and festivals for the entire family. Some of our annual traditional festivals include:

Trail Rides  
Join the Town of Davie and the South Florida Trail Riders for a trail ride through Davie's equestrian trail system.  Breakfast, water and a goodie bag are all included in a small fee.  You must bring your own horse!

The Town of Davie’s 80th Annual Orange Blossom Festival will feature a golf tournament hosted by the Davie Golf and Country Club. The 5th Annual James Pirtle Memorial Golf Classic will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017, to kick off the Festival weekend.
The format of the James Pirtle Memorial Golf Classic will be a 4-player scramble with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Competition is open to players of all skill levels and handicaps. The tournament will award team prizes and trophies, and will feature course contests.

Orange Blossom Kick Off Concert
*Friday, February 24, 2017*
Join us on February 24, 2017 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm for the Orange Blossom Kick Off Concert at the Old Davie School Historical Museum, 6650 Griffin Road, Davie. The Classic Rock band Rema Dee will be performing live starting at 6:30pm.  Admission is FREE. Activities include vendors, children's activities, petting farm and food trucks.  Food and beverage will be available for purchase throughout the evening.  Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy an evening of music and fun.

Festival (Saturday & Sunday)
The festival will feature over 250 displays and will take place down Orange Drive from Davie Rd. west to SW 66th Terrace. This portion of Orange Drive will be closed off during the festival.  Free activities for both days include an arts & crafts show, musical entertainment, "Cowboy Town", Native American display, animal farm, western carriage display, commerce corner, green products and informational displays. There will also be a free kids' corner that includes a inflatable rides, face painter, puppet shows, musical area and other children's activities.

Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast:
On Saturday, beginning at 7:00am, there will be a Pancake Breakfast at the Davie Moose Lodge, 4483 Davie Rd, Davie, put on by the Kiwanis. Pre-sale tickets are available at the Davie Town Hall, Special Events and Cultural Arts office for $5.00.

Strawberry Shortcake Festival:
On Saturday and Sunday there will be an old fashioned Strawberry Festival at the Davie Woman's Club located on Orange Drive, on the festival grounds.  Fresh strawberries and homemade shortcake will be served as well as other strawberry creations.

The parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and will proceed down Davie Road, between SW 39 Street, south to Orange Drive.

This Year’s Theme:  A Gallop through Time
How to become an entry in the parade
All non-profit youth and adult groups, commercial and non-commercial businesses, musical marching and non-musical marching groups, and all school groups are invited to participate. Parade applications will be ready around December 2016.  Awards will be presented after the parade in the different mentioned categories on the community stage.  

Open Farmers Market & Green Fair
Just like in the old west, purchase fresh home grown vegetables, herbs and spices, peanuts and fruits at our old fashion Farmers Market sponsored by the Department of Agriculture and the 4-H Clubs of Broward.

Heritage Championship Rodeo at Bergeron Rodeo Grounds
See authentic heritage rodeo at its finest!  Be amazed as real cowboys from around the world compete for championship titles. The Davie Pro Rodeo was voted as the best rodeo east of the Mississippi and has won numerous awards rodeoing in Las Vegas, Nevada. Come watch cowboys and cow gals challenge 2,000 pound bulls, ride bare back, wrestle cattle, barrel race, and team rope. The Davie Pro Rodeo will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 7:30pm, and on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 2:00pm, in the covered Bergeron Rodeo Grounds. Gates open at 6:00pm for ticket purchases and visits to the food and western wear vendors before the rodeo. Tickets available at

Festival, Parade and Rodeo Parking will be available behind the Town Hall and can only be accessed via Davie Road.  Festival grounds parking is $5.00 per vehicle.

"Concerts In The Park" Concert Series
*Second Thursday of every month*

The Town of Davie will be hosting its “Concerts In The Park” concert series on the second Thursday of every month.  Admission is FREE to the concerts.  The events include food trucks, childrens' activities, petting farm, vendors and sponsor displays.
Enjoy an evening of dinner and live music on the beautiful grounds of Old Davie School House. Lawn seating available. Don't forget your blankets and lawn chairs!

Free for anyone wishing to help clean up

The Town of Davie and the Central Broward Water Control District welcome you to participate in the 20th Annual Waterway Cleanup. The cleanup is a public awareness campaign to keep our waterways clean. This event will take place along the C-11 Canal. Participants will receive a free T-shirt, water, and a ticket to the "Trash Splash," pool celebration, after the cleanup, at the Davie Pine Island Aquatics Center, 3800 SW 92nd Avenue.

On Saturday, April 22, 2017 the Town of Davie and Davie Pro Rodeo will host the Festival of the Americas, featuring a Rodeo at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds. This one day event will include traditional food and international vendors from countries around North, South, Central America and the Caribbean, as well as fun activities for kids, live music and more. The Festival of the Americas will begin at 3:00pm and finish at 6:00pm. Rodeo will start at 6:00pm and conclude at 10:00pm.  The evening events will include live musical performances, lots of food and a full night of entertaining activities.If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please click  here. 4th Annual Classic Car Round-Up

The Town of Davie, Sentinel Classics Insurance and Rick Case Automotive Group will sponsor the 4th Annual Classic Car Round-Up on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, located at 4271 Davie Rd, Davie from 10:00am – 4:00pm.  Join us for this great, free family classic car event, expected to draw hundreds of visitors to Downtown Davie.  This is the best covered classic car show in Florida!  100 cars will be under the covered Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.  The event will include live entertainment, kids fun zone, petting farm, great food and vendors. Memorial Day gives all patriotic Americans an opportunity to honor the sacrifices that so many devoted men and women made to keep and protect freedom at home and abroad. Join us on Memorial Day to remember our American heroes. Wear red, white and blue!  Bring your American flag!  Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. down Orange Drive to the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds. Ceremony will begin immediately after the parade. 5 and under, 6 to 8, 9 to 12.
$9 per child, which includes bait, lunch, a goodie bag, and an event t-shirt for the first 200 kids to register. Please bring exact change if you can.
Equipment like the pro’s use (rods, reels and tackle boxes) will be awarded in all above mentioned age groups. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.

The Town of Davie 3rd Annual Animal Fashion Show and Open Horse Show will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, 4271 Davie Road. The Show is sponsored by the Town of Davie and proceeds benefit Friends of the Davie Farm Park and Project Stable. The gates will open at 9 a.m., with the the Animal Fashion Show beginning at 10 a.m. The show is open to a variety of animals, which includes dogs, cats, farm animals, horses, donkeys, and ponies. Pets will be judged on several categories which include Most Fashionable, Best Matched Pair-Pet and Handler, Most Unusual, and an overall Best in Show winner will be chosen. Pets can be entered in one or all categories. Darlene Evans from South Florida’s KISS Country Radio 99.9 FM will be making a special appearance at the event and will be judging the Animal Fashion Show. The Open Horse Show begins at 12 p.m. and will feature classes in Halter, Showmanship, English and Western Riding. Friends of the Davie Farm Park, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was created by residents and agricultural enthusiasts interested in preserving our agricultural and historic roots. The organization is assisting the Town of Davie with raising funds to help develop and manage Governor LeRoy Collins Farm Park which is located on Shot Gun Road and Post Road and encompasses 84 acres It will be a working urban mini farm that will allow adults and children to learn about agriculture in a hands-on environment. Project Stable Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 corporation that is an equestrian and farm program that works with special needs children through the use of horses and farm animals to help them overcome their disabilities, and provides agricultural education to the general public to allow them to understand the importance of agriculture and its role in their daily lives. The US Conference of Mayors is partnering with Major League Baseball to introduce children to the great game of baseball!

Join the Town of Davie for a FREE fun baseball field day. This event is geared toward children that are just starting to play baseball, those who are interested in trying the sport, and current youth players! The University School's Varsity Baseball Team will be on site leading fun games and drills. Kids will have a chance to run the bases, play catch, field ground balls and pop-ups, and practice hitting!

Support our new Town of Davie Clothing, Shoes and Textile Recycling Program which is now underway by bringing a plastic bag or two (tied) to our big Town Independence Day Family Fun Day at Pine Island Park and drop them in the recycling truck or bins with the Town of Davie logo. This new program not only helps the Town's commitment to environmental compliance, but also will help fund local nonprofits through the Town Community Endowment Fund.

Join the Town of Davie and the South Florida Cloggers for the Downtown Hoedown sponsored by the Rick Case Automotive Group.  There is no entrance fee for the event with free activities and activities for a small cost.  Proceeds from the event benefit the South Florida Cloggers.   Come on out for a good old fashion hoedown that will include music, food, line dancing, and fun for the entire family!

The Florida League of Cities, an association of member municipalities throughout Florida, is sponsoring an educational program called “My city: I’m part of it; I’m proud of it.” The program is designed to educate school-aged children about city government functions.
In the spirit of the program, the Town of Davie will celebrate Florida City Government, October 17 thru October 18, 2016, by providing school-aged groups educational tours of Davie Town Hall. Tours will be conducted between 9:30a.m. and the last tour at 3:30p.m. The tours are designed to educate and to inform students about their local government. We would like to invite your school to participate in our program.

The Town of Davie is inviting your school or civic group to participate in the 29th Annual Winter Holiday Tree, Menorah and Kinara Decorating Contest at the Davie Town Hall.~ If you are unable to decorate the morning of the date, groups can come to decorate any time before Friday, December 2nd at noon. Groups are asked to make all their own decorations, keeping to the theme; lights will be provided by the Town. ~Prizes will be awarded Saturday evening at the Lighting of the Greens event.
