Linear Park Trail Points of Interest
Orange Drive Linear Park – Following along the north side of the scenic South New River Canal, this trial is a favorite among the locals. It starts at the Florida Turnpike and runs westerly almost the entire width of the Town as it runs past Town Hall. It provides an easy connection to most of the Equestrian Parks throughout Davie, including Wolf Lake, West Ridge, Tree Tops, Robbins Lodge, and Vista View Parks.
Tree Tops Park – This 350-acre site features nature and equestrian trails and embraces segments of Pine Island Ridge. It also includes a 23-acre restored freshwater marsh which includes a boardwalk around the perimeter, offering an opportunity to observe bird life and colorful wetland plants.
Pine Island Ridge – This 101-acre site of Environmentally Sensitive Land (ESL) is located north of Orange Drive and west of Pine Island Road. At various times, the ridge has been a campsite for Tequesta, Seminole, and Miccosukee Indians for over 5,000 years. It has the highest point of elevation in Broward County at 29 feet above sea level, and contains wildlife and a Live Oak canopy which is uncommon this far south.
