What is Household Hazardous Waste?
Household Hazardous Waste refers to items that most of us have in our homes and use daily. Although many of these products contain hazardous chemicals, they are not hazardous when used according to directions. They become harmful when they are improperly stored or disposed of. There are four categories of Hazardous Waste: corrosive, toxic ignitable and reactive.
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE CANNOT BE PUT IN YOUR GARBAGE OR RECYCLING CONTAINERS
