Upcoming public meetings
The project known as The Commons has applied for a large scale land use plan change (LA 05-02) to change the underlying land use of the proposed site from Residential to Commercial. The proposed site is located on the west side of Shotgun Road to the north of SW 14th Street and to the north of South Post Road. The overall site is approximately 152 acres.
In accordance with State Statutes, the Planning and Zoning Board (PZ) sitting as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) will hold a public hearing on the land use plan application Wednesday, November 8, 2006 as soon after the Planning and Zoning Board ends their meeting, which begins at 7:00 PM. A second public hearing is schedule for Town Council on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 7:00.
A copy of the staff report is attached. Copies of the entire application are available at the Planning and Zoning Department for a nominal fee (cost of copies).
