Long Range Planning provides a vision of the Town of Davie’s future conditions, needs and opportunities, which guides decision-making today. Long Range Planning administers the Town’s long range planning programs. Long Range Planning is responsible for land use plan amendments and amendments to the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is a long range plan that assists in the projection of needs and requirements 20 to 25 years into the future and helps shape local, regional, and state strategies for addressing economic growth,
safety, congestion, air quality, and public mobility. Through a process of intergovernmental cooperation and coordination at the state and local level, as well as citizen involvement, Long Range Planning helps bring all affected parties to the table in order to address the unique needs of the Town of Davie while providing a forum to address the overall growth and development for the Town).
