YOUNGER AGE DIVISIONS (Ages 4-7): Teams will practice once during the week and again on Saturday.
OLDER AGE DIVISIONS (8-14): Teams will get two practices during the week and another practice on Saturdays. Once the games begin, just after Thanksgiving, teams will play once during the week, practice once during the week and play another game on Saturday. The season runs from the 1st week of November until the last week of January.
Player Ratings
Players ratings are held October 19 - 23, 2009 for all participants ages 8 through 14. In our two youngest divisions, the coaches will select the squads on their own, as it is too difficult for children of that age to be at the field for as long as it would take to rate each of them.
Playing Time
Coaches in all our age divisions are required to play each child a minimum of ½ the game, unless the child is held out for injury or disciplinary reasons.
Player Equipment
All participants are issued jerseys, shorts and socks. It is highly recommended by staff that parents purchase molded soccer cleats and shin guards for their children to participate in this sport. All participants will receive a participation trophy at the conclusion of the season. NOTE: If your child is fairly big for his age, please notify staff as soon as possible so we can attempt to get the proper size uniform for your child.
Ride Requests
The staff will attempt to comply with parental ride requests in our younger age divisions, but will not do so if it upsets the competitive balance of the league. The place to take care of ride requests is at your child’s players ratings. Please see staff to give us the players names who would like to ride together. NOTE: Please do not write your ride request on your application as sports staff will not see that document.

Mail-In Registration
The Town currently has a policy which allows program participants to register for any sports program through a mail-in registration. You may also download a registration form at davie-fl.gov. Each participant from the previous year is sent a blank registration in the mail. Should you wish to register your child in a program, just complete the registration form and return it to us with a copy of your child’s birth certificate** and a proof of residency (current utility bill). Upon receiving your registration the Town will send you a confirmation notice for the draft or tryout dates. Please make sure to fill out the registration completely. **If your child has already played in our program, and you have supplied us with a birth certificate, it is NOT necessary to send us the birth certificate again.
Registration Requirements
When registering your child for a Town of Davie program, the following are required:

Scholarships
Any interested party, who feels that they would qualify for a scholarship to our program should come to the Pine Island Fitness Center and pick up the scholarship forms. When you have filled out the form you must supply the Town with
Your current financial statements (W-2 statement etc.) and a notarized letter from the school, that your child attends, stating that they are enrolled for the subsidized hot lunch program.
NOTE: Without these documents, the Town will not proceed with your Scholarship. Also, any family who is approved for this scholarship MUST still pay for the cost of the uniform for the specific sport they are registering for.
