Registration
The Town offers two seasons for our youth in-line hockey program.
Registration for the Fall Season runs from August 4, 2008 through September 7, 2008. This program runs from October through December. This program includes a new age division, 4 - 5 year olds that will strictly play street hockey.
Spring registration usually begins in early December with the program beginning the first week of February. This program runs from February through May.
Child must turn 4 years old by September 1, 2008.
Divisions
At present, there are three age divisions in our hockey program. They are
w Ages 4-5
w Ages 6-10
w Ages 11-14
As the program continues to grow, we will add additional divisions.
Player Ratings
Player Ratings will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 we ask all our participants to attend these ratings to make our teams as equal as possible.
Playing Time
Time is kept by the home team, and we ask each of our coaches to play each participant a minimum of half the game.
Player Equipment
The Town of Davie will supply goalie equipment, mouthpieces, goals and pucks for all teams. This equipment will be kept at the facility and be issued and returned each night. The participants will be required to supply the following: Town approved roller blades, elbow and knee pads, helmet with shield and Town approved hockey stick.
Awards
Each participant in a Town of Davie Sports Program will receive a participation trophy at the conclusion of the program. Those players selected to an all-star squad will be given an additional trophy. The Town will organize an all-star game at the conclusion of the season.
Overlapping Seasons
The Sports Division attempts to have each program completed prior to the start of another program. When this situation is unavoidable, the sport in which your child signed up for first will be considered their Priority Sport and participation in that program will take precedence if conflicts with practices or games arise.

Mail-In Registration
The Town currently has a policy which allows previous program participants to register for any sports program through a mail-in registration. Each participant from the previous year is sent a blank registration in the mail. Should you wish to register your child in a program, just complete the registration form and return it to us with a copy of your child’s birth certificate and a proof of residency (current utility bill). Upon receiving your registration the Town will send you a confirmation notice for the draft or tryout dates. Please make sure to fill out the registration completely and put down which complex your son or daughter will participate at.
Registration Requirements
When registering your child for a Town of Davie program, the following are required:
1. A copy of your child’s birth certificate. (Unless already on file)
2. Current proof of residency/current utility bill (phone, electric, or water bill).
3. A completed registration form.
4. The appropriate registration fee.
Refunds
Any person wishing a refund from a Sports Division program will need to do so prior to uniforms being issued. Once your child has received his/her uniform, there are no refunds. There will also be a $10.00 administrative fee deducted from the refund.
Scholarships
Any interested party, who feels that they would qualify for a scholarship to our program should come to the Pine Island Fitness Center and pick up the scholarship forms. When you have filled out the form you must supply the Town with
Your current financial statements (W-2 statement etc.) and a notarized letter from the school, that your child attends, stating that they are enrolled for the subsidized hot lunch program.
NOTE: Without these documents, the Town will not proceed with your Scholarship. Also, any family who is approved for this scholarship MUST still pay for the cost of the uniform for the specific sport they are registering for.
