Inner Tube Water Polo New Program!!
Inner Tube Water Polo is a great workout and fun all while sitting in the pool!! This game is a spinoff of the sport Water Polo, with participants trying to score goals while sitting in inflatable inner tubes. This allows for novice up to experienced players to enjoy this exciting game withouttreading water. Inner Tube Water Polo will be starting in June at the Pine Island Pool. Aqua Kids New Program!!
Water Aerobics for children. Water aerobics is an ideal way to help your child get fit though exercise, fun and games. Minimum height requirement if 4ft and children must be comfortable in the water. Classes will start this summer on Saturday morning. Please call Dana at 954-797-7387 for more info.
Deep Water Aerobics New Program!!

Aqua Zumba New!!

Davie Pine Island Park is a 113 acre active park, aquatic and fitness center located at 3800 S.W. 92 Avenue which opened in 1991. The park is the home of the Robert H. Bamford Sports Complex which opened in 1992. It is a Town regional park and is open to all residents. Access to this park is by car, horse, bike, or walking. Sidewalks are available from both Orange Drive and Pine Island Road. The pool facility is a favorite of Olympic athletes and colleges for winter training.

LAP SWIM
Lap swim is available daily at the Davie Pine Island Park Pool. Come swim with us and get a great work out!! We offer early morning swimming Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 5:00a.m to 8:00 a.m. We have dedicated lanes available all day. When necessary, lap lanes must be shared.
Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by and adult.
PLEASE NOTE: At times, space availability to the public is limited due to swim team usage. Swim team trains Monday to Friday, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Depending on the pool configuration at times there only 3 lap lanes available in addition to an area for recreational swimming, so you may have to share lanes with other lap swimmers.

DAVIE WATER AEROBICS
The Water Aerobics program conducted by Dana is a high energy, low impact class performed in the water to music. This total body workout improves muscle strength, flexibility and endurance and provides an efficient cardiovascular workout. Our classes are designed to accommodate both the beginner as well as the experienced swimmer. No swimming skills are needed for this shallow water workout.
We hold classes weekday mornings and evenings as well as Saturdays.

LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION TRAINING CLASSES
30 hour training course conducted by an American Red Cross Instructor. Successful completion of this course includes certification of Lifeguard/First Aid and CPR/AED.
Prerequisites: Minimum age 15
Swim 300 Yards
10 lb brick retrieval
Cost: $250 includes textbook and mask
DAVIE LIFEGUARDS
Every lifeguard has been certified by the American Red Cross in CPR, First Aid, Oxygen Administration and Lifeguarding. Each lifeguard maintains their skill in monthly in-service training and receive unannounced audits to make sure their skills are at their best. Lifeguards are continually watching the pool to keep your swimming experiences enjoyable and safe. The pool and its staff received perfect marks for its safety training program and is a favorite with summer camps throughout the County.
DAVIE SCUBA CLASSES
Discover Scuba Diving
Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.~
While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you'll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.~~~
To take Discover Scuba Diving you must be at least 12 years old.

Swim Team at Pine Island
The name of the organization that conducts competitive swimming practices at Pine Island Pool is SWIMFAST.
SWIMFAST is a full service swim team serving young swimmers ages 6 and up in three groups, Stroke School (for new swimmers of all ages) Age Group and Senior Swimmers. We also serve Masters Swimmers.
The SWIMFAST program can fulfill your swimming needs whether you are a new swimmer, or an elite swimmer aspiring to high levels of success.
The Coaching Staff, headed by John Leonard, one of the best known names in the world of swimming, includes 3 ASCA Level 5 (highest level) coaches, 2 Level 4 Coaches and 1 Level 3 Coach.

DAVIE STAND UP YOGA
Starting with a meditative paddle to get into the zone and warmup, the class then transitions to yoga on the board. Feel the flow of water beneath you as you move through a vinyasa. Gaze at the beautiful blue sky while lifting into bridge or wheel pose. This practice builds amazing core and upper body strength, promotes balance and will surely leave you feeling peaceful.

If I have a membership at Pine Island Pool can I use the Betty Booth Roberts Pool?
Yes, the Pine Island Pool membership is good for both pools; however, you must choose a primary pool to utilize.
