Mission Statement
The mission of the Housing and Community Development Department is to create viable neighborhoods using a “holistic” approach which:
· expands affordable rental and home-ownership opportunities;
· upgrades the existing housing stock through home repair programs;
· improves and expands infrastructure and public facilities;
· provides programs for at-risk youth;
· develops new public facilities;
· removes impediments to fair housing choices;
· promotes self-sufficiency and economic independence; and
· enhances the quality of life for Davie residents
