A The Code Compliance Division may be contacted directly at 954-797-1121, or you may follow this link to the Town's Citizen Response Form, and provide all the information available regarding the complaint. A Division employee will contact you thereafter.
II. RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY STANDARDS
1.VEGETATION/OVERGROWTH
Q What is the Town's code on overgrown properties?
A Town Code Section 9-51(b) Properties must be cut down and kept free of all high grass and/or wild growth.
2.TREE REMOVAL PERMIT REQUIRED
Q Is a permit required to remove a tree?
A Town Code Section 26-25, a person shall not allow the removal of any tree without first obtaining a permit from the Town.
3. GARBAGE AND TRASH REMOVAL SERVICE REQUIRED
Q Does the Town provide residential garbage service?
A Town Code Section 9-22 Required garbage and trash removal service is provided by the franchised collector for the Town. Please contact Waste Management at 954-974-7500 for information.
4. COMMERCIAL VEHICLE PARKING RESTRICTIONS
Q What restrictions are there for commercial vehicles?
A Town Code Section 12-33(g) Trucks, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, or construction equipment shall not be parked, stored, or contained within a residentially zoned district.
5. PARKING AND STORAGE OF BOATS AND TRAILERS
Q Where can I park/store my boat or trailer?
A Town Code Section 12-33(g) Personal utility trailers or personal trailers that transport livestock, boats or other machinery or materials may be stored in a residentially zoned district.
6. PARKING AND STORAGE OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
Q Where can I park/store a recreational vehicle?
A Town Code Section 12-33(g) Recreational vehicles may be parked in residentially zoned districts provided that such recreational vehicle shall not be parked or stored within a driveway, front yard, sidewalk, or swale area. This vehicle must be relocated to the side or
rear yard.

Q What about dogs and cats in Davie?
A Town Code Section 4-62 No person shall own, keep, harbor any dog within the Town unless such dog is licensed and has been vaccinated with a rabies vaccine approved by the United States Department of Agriculture and administered by a veterinarian within one year of the date on which such dog is kept and maintained. Town Code Section 4-65 All dogs shall be kept secured by a leash or otherwise under the control of an owner or responsible person, or within the real property limits of the owners. Town Code Section 4-66 It is prohibited for a dog to make excessive noise that disturbs a

A Temporary signs advertising a pending development may be erected, displayed or maintained providing certian criteria are followed, see Town Code Section 12-243 (D)(3). A thirty day special permit is required to display inflatable advertising devices, see Town Code Section 12-243 (D)(4), and banners, See Town Code Section 12-243 (D)(5).

Q What are nuisances and eyesores?
A Town Code Section 12-33(u) all residential and business owners of the Town of Davie shall maintain their properties in a manner which upholds the property values in their neighborhood as well as ensures the health, safety and welfare of the public is protected. Nuisance conditions can include; graffiti, overgrowth, noise, odors and safety issues.
