Residents of Pine Island Ridge and United Ranches
IMPORTANT SOLID WASTE INFORMATION
Beginning January of 2007, you will be incorporated into Davie’s garbage service. Until then, service will remain exactly as it has been for the last 5 years. Most residents will not see a significant change. Davie’s current hauler is Waste Management Inc. of Florida. Please find the section below that applies to your situation. Costs for residential solid waste services are listed on your final property tax bill.
PINE ISLAND RIDGE
Curbside collection of trash and refuse
Pine Island Ridge residents that currently use garbage pails and bags will receive a green Town of Davie 96-gallon cart during the first week of January 2007. This cart should be used for normal twice a week trash service. All trash MUST be placed inside the cart. Only green carts with the Town logo on it will be serviced after the cart is delivered. Other garbage pails or bags will not be collected. Yard waste may be cut and placed in your cart along with household trash. Additional carts are available for a nominal annual price. We do not anticipate any changes in your current schedule. However, if a change is necessary you will be notified in advance.
Residents with 96-gallon carts will receive a 2007 bulk trash notification describing their monthly bulk collection service and collection dates. You will receive the 2007 notification in December of 2006.
If you currently have recycling containers, you may continue to use those containers. The items collected for recycling will be the same items that you currently recycle.
Condominiums with dumpster service
Condominiums in Pine Island Ridge that presently use Waste Management dumpsters should contact Kay Hurley of Waste Management to verify the service they receive or require. Kay Hurley can be reached at (954) 917-1615.
If you currently have recycling containers, you may continue to use those containers. The items collected for recycling will be the same items that you currently recycle.
Multi-family commercial dumpsters
Those areas of Pine Island Ridge that presently use Waste Management dumpsters should not see any change in the type or level of service received.

UNITED RANCHES and RIO RANCHES
Single-family residents
