553.73 Florida Building Code.--
(1)(a) The commission shall adopt, by rule pursuant to ss. 120.536(1) and 120.54, the Florida Building Code which shall contain or incorporate by reference all laws and rules which pertain to and govern the design, construction, erection, alteration, modification, repair, and demolition of public and private buildings, structures, and facilities and enforcement of such laws and rules, except as otherwise provided in this section.
(8) The following buildings, structures, and facilities are exempt from the Florida Building Code as provided by law, and any further exemptions shall be as determined by the Legislature and provided by law:
(c) Nonresidential farm buildings on farms.
604.50 Nonresidential farm buildings.—Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, any nonresidential farm building located on a farm is exempt from the Florida Building Code and any county or municipal building code. For purposes of this section, the term "nonresidential farm building" means any building or support structure that is used for agricultural purposes, is located on a farm that is not used as a residential dwelling, and is located on land that is an integral part of a farm operation or is classified as agricultural land under s. 193.461. The term "farm" is as defined in s. 823.14.
604.40 Farm equipment. Notwithstanding any other law, ordinance, rule or policy to the contrary, all power-drawn, power-driven or self-propelled equipment used on a farm may be stored, maintained, or repaired by the owner within the boundaries of the owner's farm and at least 50 feet away from any public road without limitation."
