The Town of Davie Special Events Division offers year round and seasonal cultural activities, special events and festivals for the entire family. Some of our annual traditional festivals include:

Trail Rides  
Join the Town of Davie and the South Florida Trail Riders for a trail ride through Davie's equestrian trail system.  Breakfast, water and a goodie bag are all included in a small fee.  You must bring your own horse!

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
*Sunday, January 15, 2017*
The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Potter Park, 4300 SW 57 Terrace, Davie from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.  The Celebration will include youth entertainment, a poetry contest, FREE lunch and kids activities including bounce houses, slide and climbing wall.  Come celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday with the Town of Davie.  If you would like to participate in the poetry contest call (954) 797-1181.

The Town of Davie’s 80th Annual Orange Blossom Festival will feature a golf tournament hosted by the Davie Golf and Country Club. The 5th Annual James Pirtle Memorial Golf Classic will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017, to kick off the Festival weekend.
The format of the James Pirtle Memorial Golf Classic will be a 4-player scramble with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Competition is open to players of all skill levels and handicaps. The tournament will award team prizes and trophies, and will feature course contests.

Orange Blossom Kick Off Concert
*Friday, February 24, 2017*
Join us on February 24, 2017 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm for the Orange Blossom Kick Off Concert at the Old Davie School Historical Museum, 6650 Griffin Road, Davie. The Classic Rock band Rema Dee will be performing live starting at 6:30pm.  Admission is FREE and there will be Arts & Craft vendors, bounce house, petting farm and food trucks.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening.  So bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy an evening of music.

Festival Both Days
The festival will feature over 250 displays and will take place down Orange Drive from Davie Rd. west to SW 66th Terrace.  This portion of Orange Drive will be closed off during the festival.  Free activities for both days includes an arts & crafts show, fine arts show, musical entertainment, "Cowboy Town", Native American display, animal farm, western carriage display, commerce corner, information displays and green product displays.  There will be a FREE concert on Saturday and Sunday!  There will also be a free kids' corner that includes a bounce house, giant slide, rides and climbing wall.  Admission to the festival is FREE. Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
On Saturday, beginning at 7:00am, there will be a Pancake Breakfast at the Davie Moose Lodge, 4483 Davie Rd, Davie, put on by the Kiwanis.  Pre-sale tickets are available at the Davie Town Hall, Special Events and Cultural Arts office for $5.00.

Strawberry Shortcake Festival
On Saturday and Sunday there will be an old fashioned Strawberry Festival at the Davie Woman's Club located on Orange Drive, on the festival grounds.  Fresh strawberries and homemade shortcake will be served as well as other strawberry creations.

The parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and will proceed down Davie Road, between SW 39 Street, south to Orange Drive.

How to become an entry in the parade
All non-profit youth and adult groups, commercial and non-commercial businesses, musical marching and non-musical marching groups, and all school groups are invited to participate. Parade applications will be ready around December 2016.  Awards will be presented after the parade in the different mentioned categories on the community stage.  

Open Farmers Market & Green Fair
Just like in the old west, purchase fresh home grown vegetables, herbs and spices, peanuts and fruits at our old fashion Farmers Market sponsored by the Department of Agriculture and the 4-H Clubs of Broward.

Free Stage Entertainment & Street Dance
Family Entertainment will take place on both days throughout the festival.  FREE street concerts on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. on the Festival Grounds.  Listen to 99.9 KISS Country for guest entertainers.

Heritage championship rodeo in the covered Bergeron Rodeo Grounds of Davie, Florida
See authentic heritage rodeo at its finest!  Be amazed as real cowboys from around the world compete for championship titles.  The Davie Pro Rodeo was voted as the best rodeo east of the Mississippi and has won numerous awards rodeoing in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Come watch cowboys and cow gals challenge 2,000 pound bulls, ride bare back, wrestle cattle, barrel race, and team rope.  The kids will love it!  The Davie Pro Rodeo will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 7:30pm, and on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 2:00pm, in the covered Bergeron Rodeo Grounds of Davie, Florida. Gates open at 6:00pm to purchase tickets and so that you can come in and enjoy the food and vendors before the rodeo begins.  Advanced and Group rate tickets are available at the Special Events and Cultural Arts office located at the Pine Island Park.  Tickets are $20 and $8 (3-12) in advance and $22 and $10 (3-12) at the gate.  

Festival, Parade and Rodeo Parking will be available behind the Town Hall and can only be accessed via Davie Road.  Parking on the festival grounds is $5.00 per vehicle.

*Second Thursday of every month*
The Town of Davie will be hosting its “Concerts In The Park” concert series on the second Thursday of every month.  The concerts will be held in the bandshell at the Old Davie School Historical Museum, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m.  The concerts are FREE.  Event begins at 6:00 p.m. and the live music will start at 6:30 p.m. The events will include food trucks, a bounce house, petting farm, vendors and sponsor displays. Acts scheduled to perform include Sekond Nature(Variety) Dec. 10th, Sucker Punch(Country) Jan. 14th, Andrew Morris Band(Country) Feb. 11th, Beatles Review(Beatles Tribute) March 10th and Viva(Variety) April 14th. For the Tast of Davie we will be featuring a different Davie restaurant at each concert. The Town of Davie and the Central Broward Water Control District welcome you to participate in the 20th Annual Waterway Cleanup.  The cleanup is a public awareness campaign to keep our waterways clean.  This event will take place along the C-11 Canal.  Participants will receive a free T-shirt and water, as well as a ticket to the "Trash Splash," a pool celebration, after the cleanup, at the Pine Island Park Pool, 3800 SW 92nd Avenue, Davie.

On Saturday, April 23, 2016 the Town of Davie, partnering with Joana Bueno Productions, LLC and Davie Pro Rodeo will host the Festival of the Americas, featuring a Bull Riding Event & Concert at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds of Davie, Florida.  This one day event will include traditional food and international vendors from countries around North, South, Central America and the Caribbean, as well as fun activities for kids, live music and an exciting Bull Riding Event!  The Festival of the Americas will begin at 12:30pm and finish at 6:30pm.  The Bull Riding Event and Concert will start at 6:00pm and conclude at 11:30pm.  The evening events will include live musical performances, lots of food and a full night of entertaining activities.  To top the evening off, there will be Professional Bullriding, featuring top international athletes competing together and representing their countries.  Following the Bull Riding Event, there will be a concert featuring a Brazilian country western band. 3rd Annual Classic Car Round-Up

The Town of Davie, Sentinel Classics Insurance and Rick Case Automotive Group will sponsor its 3rd Annual Classic Car Round-Up, which will take place on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, located at 4271 Davie Rd, Davie from 10:00am – 4:00pm.  Join us for this great, free family classic car event, expected to draw hundreds of visitors to Downtown Davie.  This is the best covered classic car show in Florida!  100 cars will be under the covered Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.  The event will include live entertainment, free kids fun zone, free petting farm, great food and vendors and arts and crafts! Memorial Day gives all patriotic Americans an opportunity to honor the sacrifices that so many devoted men and women made to keep and protect freedom at home and abroad. Join us on Memorial Day to remember our American heroes. Wear red, white and blue!  Bring your American flag!  Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. down Orange Drive to the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds. Ceremony will begin immediately after the parade. Prizes:
Equipment like the pro’s use (rods, reels and tackle boxes) will be awarded in all above mentioned age groups. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.

The Town of Davie 3rd Annual Animal Fashion Show and Open Horse Show will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, 4271 Davie Road. The Show is sponsored by the Town of Davie and proceeds benefit Friends of the Davie Farm Park and Project Stable. The gates will open at 9 a.m., with the the Animal Fashion Show beginning at 10 a.m. The show is open to a variety of animals, which includes dogs, cats, farm animals, horses, donkeys, and ponies. Pets will be judged on several categories which include Most Fashionable, Best Matched Pair-Pet and Handler, Most Unusual, and an overall Best in Show winner will be chosen. Pets can be entered in one or all categories. Darlene Evans from South Florida’s KISS Country Radio 99.9 FM will be making a special appearance at the event and will be judging the Animal Fashion Show. The Open Horse Show begins at 12 p.m. and will feature classes in Halter, Showmanship, English and Western Riding. Friends of the Davie Farm Park, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was created by residents and agricultural enthusiasts interested in preserving our agricultural and historic roots. The organization is assisting the Town of Davie with raising funds to help develop and manage Governor LeRoy Collins Farm Park which is located on Shot Gun Road and Post Road and encompasses 84 acres It will be a working urban mini farm that will allow adults and children to learn about agriculture in a hands-on environment. Project Stable Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 corporation that is an equestrian and farm program that works with special needs children through the use of horses and farm animals to help them overcome their disabilities, and provides agricultural education to the general public to allow them to understand the importance of agriculture and its role in their daily lives. This event is geared toward children that are just starting to play baseball, those who are interested in trying the sport, and current youth players! The University School's Varsity Baseball Team will be on site leading fun games and drills. Kids will have a chance to run the bases, play catch, field ground balls and pop-ups, and practice hitting!

GO GREEN ON THE 4TH!
Support our new Town of Davie Clothing, Shoes and Textile Recycling Program which is now underway by bringing a plastic bag or two (tied) to our big Town Independence Day Family Fun Day at Pine Island Park and drop them in the recycling truck or bins with the Town of Davie logo. This new program not only helps the Town's commitment to environmental compliance, but also will help fund local nonprofits through the Town Community Endowment Fund.

Downtown Hoedown
Come join the Town of Davie and the South Florida Cloggers for this annual Davie Event at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds of Davie, Florida from 11:00am - 2:00pm on Saturday, August 22nd.  Show off your singing and dancing talents by participating in the "Davie Idol" singing contest or one of the dancing or clogging demonstrations.  Come for family fun and stay for a good ol' fashion country hoedown, games and entertainment!  Help the South Florida Cloggers raise travel money for clogging competitions by bidding on silent auction items.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children and will include not only entrance to the hoedown, but a hot dog dinner as well.  The registration fee for "Davie Idol" contest is $20.  Prizes will be awarded to the winner.  Call Rebecca Vetter at (954) 347-5207 for more information.  If you would like to sponsor this event, please click here. The Florida League of Cities, an association of member municipalities throughout Florida, is sponsoring an educational program called “My city: I’m part of it; I’m proud of it.” The program is designed to educate school-aged children about city government functions.
In the spirit of the program, the Town of Davie will celebrate Florida City Government, October 17 thru October 21, 2016, by providing school-aged groups educational tours of Davie Town Hall. Tours will be conducted between 9:30a.m. and the last tour at 3:30p.m. The tours are designed to educate and to inform students about their local government. We would like to invite your school to participate in our program.

The Town of Davie is inviting your school or civic group to participate in the 29th Annual Winter Holiday Tree, Menorah and Kinara Decorating Contest at the Davie Town Hall.  Decorating date will be announced soon. If you are unable to decorate the morning of the date, groups can come to decorate anytime before Friday, December 2nd before Noon. Groups are asked to make all their own decorations, keeping to the theme; lights will be provided by the Town.  Prizes will be awarded Saturday evening at the Lighting of the Greens event. Voted by its residents as the best decorated city hall in Broward County!  Visit a display of thousands of lights, over 50 beautifully adorned holiday trees, menorahs, and kinaras. Free traditional refreshments, holiday magic show, and twenty tons of holiday snow. The Florida Youth Orchestra has teamed up with the Town of Davie to showcase their musical abilities. Visit Town Hall’s beautiful light display and listen to live performances of Holiday classics such as, Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman, Silent Night, and more.  Refreshments and snacks will be sold for a small fee.

About this Event: Bring the family out and join the Town of Davie at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds for a free holiday movie.  We won’t release the name of the movie until you arrive, but we’ll give you a hint!  This movie is the tale of an over-sized elf who was accidently transported in Santa’s sack to the north pole and grew up to be an adult among Santa’s elves.  When he realizes he doesn’t fit in at Santa’s workshop he begins his journey to New York in search of his real family and spreads tons of holiday cheer (and chaos) along the way!  Gates will open at 6pm and the movie will begin at 6:30pm and will be displayed on a 60’ blow up screen.  Refreshments and snacks will be sold for a small fee.  Don’t forget your blankets and chairs!
