GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB: Under general supervision, performs specialized work in the operation of one (1) or more, less complex motorized heavy equipment. Is responsible for performing semi-skilled and skilled work on construction, maintenance and repair projects for the applicable department.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school and one year experience in one or more of the following operation and maintenance of assigned equipment (Vacuum Truck, Skid Steer Loader, Backhoe, and Street Sweeper), handling of multi-speed trucks and some heavy equipment; some experience in supervision of labor crews preferred; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid Class “A” or “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the State of placeStateFlorida depending on assigned department. You must provide a certified copy of your seven (7) year driving history profile obtainable from DMV or the Courthouse. Issue date on record can not be more than thirty (30) days old at time of application. No internet copies will be accepted.

PAY RANGE: $33,644-$49,707/YR
