NON-CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER
REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or G.E.D., valid Class “E” Florida driver’s license, at least 19 years of age, and proof of U.S. Citizenship. Please provide copies of diploma, driver’s license and birth certificate at time of application. Must provide copy of Driving History Profile for the past seven (7) years from the DMV or courthouse ONLY. No internet copies will be accepted. Must provide proof of having successfully completed the B.A.T. (minimum score 85)and the Basic Motor Skills and Swimming exams administered by the Broward Community College Criminal Justice Institute. The B.A.T. exam is valid for two (2) years, the Basic motor Skills test is valid for six (6) months and the Swimming test is valid indefinitely.*

The selection process may include successfully meeting the minimum requirements of each of the following: an oral assessment, background investigations, Chief’s interview(s), psychological examination, deception detection examination(s), and a medical examination which includes a drug screening test.
PAY RANGE: $18.87/HR
($48,065 annually upon being Certified, up to $68,477 Plus longevity 7-10 yrs $1,500/yr 11+ yrs $2,000/yr)
