Performances Start April 25
The Town of Davie’s Actors Community Theatre (ACT) will perform the sophisticated comedy Art, by Yasmina Reza at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road, in Davie.
Art accomplished the remarkable feat of winning Broadway’s Tony award and England’s Laurence Olivier award for best play in the same year. In Art, the relationships among three friends are pushed to the breaking point when one of the three spends a small fortune on a painting which he considers a masterpiece and which his best friend considers a joke. Art has been a smash hit in New York, London, and around the world. Typical reviews describe Art as “riotously funny” and hail its “dazzling array of language.”
8 p.m. performances will be April 25 & 26 and May 2 & 3.
2 p.m. performances will be April 27 and May 4.
Tickets are on sale now for all performances. Advance tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center. Tickets at the door will be $12.
