The Old Davie School Historical Museum in partnership with the Humane Society of Broward County is proud to host the Reading to the Dogs program. The Old Davie School welcomes the Cooper City Kiwanis Club as the programs newest sponsor. The next two sessions scheduled are on Thursday, February 18, and March 18, 2010, both at 4 p.m.
Children ages 6-12 years of age are invited to join certified animal assisted therapy and education dogs to read their favorite animal story to them. These gentle specially gifted animals are accompanied by their human companions who are volunteers with the Humane Society. There is no charge for this event, and snacks will be available.
The program will take place on the campus of the Old Davie School Historical Museum located at 6650 Griffin Road in Davie. For more information, contact Patti Koch at 954-797-1044.
