Construction is scheduled to begin on February 15, 2010, on the I-595 Corridor Express Project. The first phase of the construction will start from Nob Hill Road to Davie Road.
Three lanes of traffic in each direction will always be maintained by shifting traffic to designated constructed roadways. Lane closures will occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. Speed limit will be maintained at 65 mph. Business accesses will be maintained during construction. Three reversible lanes will be constructed in the existing median area and new entrance/exit ramps will be constructed to replace some existing ramps. This project is scheduled to be completed in approximately 3 1/2 years.
A Community Awareness Meeting is scheduled on Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the Signature Grand in Davie from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and everyone is welcome to attend to learn more about this project. Visit the I-595 Corridor Express website at www.I-595.com.
